Job Description Responsibilities:
* This position manages all activities regarding the processing of claims, resulting in higher customer satisfaction
* 30% Prepares claims for processing by reviewing, registering and logging them in the Cross Express.
* 20% Verifies customers' addresses to ensure payment is sent to the correct address.
* 15% Handles pick-up, sorting and distribution of mail.
* 10% Researches provider information to ensure accuracy and to increase claims processing.
* 10% Sorts and distributes reports to system administer, claim examiners, management and service representatives.
* 10% Provides clerical support to the Finance Department for audits and recoupments.
* 5% Distributes the claims to the Full Service Reps; distributes supplies to the business units.
* Register, log and verify approximately 200 claims per day.
Reel and frame varies (300 - 500 claims per week).
Sort and distribute reports/claims - 3,000
Requirements:
* The incumbent must have knowledge of the PC; have training in data entry, Cross Express, medical technology. Incumbent must be organized, have basic math skills and strong interpersonal skills. Position requires excellent proofreading and problem-solving skills
* The incumbent is required to immediately disclose any debarment, exclusion, or other event that makes him/her ineligible to perform work directly or indirectly on client programs
* The employee is primarily seated while performing the duties of the position. Occasional walking or standing is required. The hands are regularly used to write, type, key and handle or feel small controls and objects. The employee must frequently talk and hear. Weights of up to 25 pounds are occasionally lifted.
