Abacus Technology is seeking a Database Administration Manager to provide database support for the DoE Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHHS) . This is a full-time position.
7+ years experience in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of database management systems. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience with relational databases including Oracle and SQL Server or both. Experience in the creation and deletion of database user accounts, promotion of data integrity, monitoring use and performance of the database, reduction of unnecessary or redundant storage, institution of database security, facilitation of data sharing, performance of regular backups, and performance of recoveries when needed. Thorough knowledge of the software/system development life cycle (SDLC). Experience developing tables, columns, triggers, stored procedures, and queries. Experience monitoring database usage, troubleshooting data compatibility and integrity issues, and making modifications for enhanced performance. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. Organized, attentive to detail, and willing to pursue resolutions to issues as they arise. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be a US citizen and hold a current DoD Top Secret or DoE Q clearance.
