BlueHalo seeks an experienced Deputy Director of Sustainment Engineering and Logistics for the Defense Sector. This position will play a critical role in leading and managing the sustainment engineering and logistics operations for our organization. The successful candidate will leverage over 20 years of strategic military and government leadership experience to drive policy formulation, risk mitigation, and operational readiness. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in strategic advisory roles, operational leadership, and inter-agency coordination.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Assist in creating a division focused on product support lifecycle management.
• Support all sustainment, logistics, and cybersecurity operations.
• Help develop and implement sustainment metrics and strategies.
• Ensure OSS&E principles are applied during product development and maintenance.
• Provide engineering support for product analyses (RCA, FMECA, RMA).
• Assist in developing SE processes and sustainment plans.
• Implement IPS principles and methods across product lines.
• Conduct BCAs and trade space analyses for understanding Total Ownership Cost (TOC).
• Support requirements engineering and assist in implementing a strategic cybersecurity plan.
• Monitor contract performance and interact with contracting offices.
• Prepare and present sustainment briefings and conduct meetings with customers.
• Coordinate and facilitate logistics and deployment meetings.

• Advanced degrees in relevant fields such as Defense Analysis, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Over 20 years of experience in strategic military and government roles, including leadership positions within the military and special operations command.
• Proven track record of managing complex operations and leading inter-agency coordination efforts.
• Extensive experience in policy formulation, risk mitigation, and operational readiness.
• Strong strategic advisory and leadership skills.
• Expertise in change management, systems analysis, and future trends analysis.
• Exceptional communication and coordination abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Experience in sustainment engineering and logistics operations.
• Background in developing and managing training programs.
• Familiarity with budget management and financial planning in a military or government context.
• Experience with strategic planning and capability roadmap development.
