Director Mental Health Services

Job Description:

Responsible for the overall day-to-day program management of Community Support Services (CSS) and Links to Health/Behavioral Health Home (LTH/BHH) programs. Ensures delivery of community-based care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered. Involved in direct supervision (individual and group) and the development of supervisory staff to ensure program standards are met or exceeded. Participates in team delivery of support to clients and staff including on-call, per diem, and administrative support staff; participates in rotation of on-call supervisory duties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities to ensure the delivery of day-to-day program operations, including staff hiring/development and fiscal responsibility
• Ensures uninterrupted the delivery of authorizations for services
• Ensure the process for continuous improvement to meet agency standards for documentation
• Maintains program compliance in accordance with state requirements and actively participates in scheduled site reviews
• Participates as a member of the management team in formulating and establishing agency policies and operating procedures for the program/agency.
• Evaluates staff performance and assist with developing goals and objectives for staff.
• Serves as a member of management committees on special studies.

Education/Requirements:

• Education- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field with New Jersey licensure, LCSW preferred
• Experience- Minimum 3 years of leadership and related supervisory experience.
