Our Organization and Mission:   The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States. 

 

Pay:  $53,000 - $58,000 Annually

 

Position Summary: This position reports directly to eDiscovery Operations Manager, and is considered a position of high trust. The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the development of policies and procedures as it relates to the Office of Attorney General’s, Litigation Services, e-Discovery Unit.  This position is a technical position within the Division of Litigation Services and combines skills in advanced technology and project workflow. The Production Lead supports e-Discovery services, hosting services and production support services.

 

Qualifications:   A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming; or,
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and two years of experienced as described above; or,
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and one year of experienced as described above; or,
A doctorate from an accredited college or university in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems; or,
Four years of experience as described above and either (1) completion of a 1440 classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school or accredited community college in an area of data processing (excluding data entry), or (2) 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college course work from an accredited institution which includes four courses in computer science or management information systems.
Experience as described above can substitute on a year for year basis for the required college education.
Completion of a one year program of study from a vocational/technical school in an area of data processing (excluding data entry) can substitute for one year of the required experience.

 

The Work You Will Do:   The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Understanding of all aspects of eDiscovery workflow from receiving data through client delivery.
  • Assists the eDiscovery Manager with the creation and updating of policies and procedures for the eDiscovery Unit including but not limited to user retention policies for all SAS and on-prem eDiscovery solutions. 
  • Manage high volume of a variety of document types including email, transcripts and office files.
  • Troubleshoot data errors and convert files for uploading into eDiscovery systems. 
  • Process and code data utilizing technology software, such as iPro, Nuix, Relativity, etc.
  • Remove duplicates, export, and load file creation for various document review platforms.
  • Auditing the Tech(s) responsible for media logging and duplication; backups and safe copies; shipping and receiving.
  • Efficient documentation for project tracking, status, quality assurance, reporting and billing.
  • Ensure high-quality, timely delivery to meet and/or exceed client expectations.
  • Escalate issues internally, as appropriate to achieve timely and client-satisfactory expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with other divisions, departments, and support agency directives.
  • Auditing the Tech(s) responsible for the update/edit employees via notification of the Master Notes is to also be removed from Nuix Investigate if they are a user. This is supervising the tech(s) that is maintaining the information all needs to be updated on the User logs and tracking. Also, the project sheet needs to be updated if the user was the main contact for the matter. 
  • Auditing the Tech(s) responsible for updating the project sheet for size totals and the leads on matters.
  • Assists with first tier review of cases at the request of case lead for confidential information, while also completing redactions and in some matters running analytics. 
  • Auditing the Tech(s) that is responsible for maintaining and updating the destruction log for data destruction. 
  • Auditing the Tech(s) responsible for ensuring any matters that are closed, archived, and sent back to leads on matters are added to the data destruction log before the data is erased off our system. 
  • Responsible for all production and coordinating with eDiscovery Manager on any issues.
  • Responsible for helping with the (in-person and virtual) training for our services or products. 
  • Assists with sending out and collecting MOUs for external users for eDiscovery Software.
  • Creation of Repositories. 
  • Assists with the creation of all user and knowledge base documentation for workflow and eDiscovery Unit’s software.
