Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Equipment Operator. You will be accurately stacking customer supplies orders for delivery to hospital supply locations in a manner that meets department standards for safety, security, and productivity.
Job Description
- Performs general physical activities in warehouse; loading, unloading, sorting, and moving products and materials manually and using material handling equipment.
- Delivers items using electronic handheld equipment – iPad readers.
- Delivers supplies to all hospital areas.
- Maintains and arranges items on carts, flatbeds pallets for maximum efficiency.
- Removes debris and boxes from carts, flatbeds, pallets etc... And uses the proper disposal-cardboard bailer methods.
- Processes customer delivery information in computer system.
- Communicates product discrepancies, and order / delivery problems to the Manager of Distribution.
- Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
- Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
- Performs assignments and keeps assigned locations neat and orderly.
- Takes initiative to assist patient care staff with identification of supply needs.
- Delivers STAT supply requests to user department in an efficient and timely manner.
- Demonstrates compliance with Christiana Care departmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, infection control, attendance, and dress code.
- Performs other related duties as assigned when needed by management.
Skills Required
- Three years of relevant experience in Material Distribution preferred.
- One-year hospital experience.
Education/Training/Certifications
Additional Requirements
- Adhere to company guidelines regarding COVID compliance.
- Valid driver’s license
- Shift time: 7am start time; Monday-Fri and every other weekend shifts including holiday work.
- Dress code: T-shirt (no logos) collard pull over Khaki pants or scrubs
Pay Rate
- $17.00 per hour
