Purpose:
As the Faculty Support Administrative Assistant Senior, you will provide administrative support services to the Academic Area Chairperson(s) and faculty which assists in the smooth operation of one or more academic departments. You will be a peer leader to the faculty support department, dedicated to meeting the academic needs of faculty through teamwork, technical skills, and problem solving. You will report to the Director of Faculty Support. You will work onsite for the majority of your work schedule. Flexible work options are available, including the potential to work remotely up to two days per week.

  • You will manage the course planning tool and teaching schedules, in partnership with department heads, Ross Registrar's office, Ross AHR, and the Dean's office.
  • You will monitor funding and expenditures for individual faculty and communicate regular reports to chairperson(s) and faculty.
  • Manage budget details for departmental activities.
  • Approve/deny faculty expenditures.
  • Manage department expense reports in accordance with administrative and accounting procedures.
  • Communicate policies and procedures to faculty and staff to ensure compliance.
  • Manage all aspects of faculty events including budget development, vendor selection, venue coordination, hiring and staff supervision website management, registration processes, speaker liaison, and logistics.
  • You will lead the faculty recruitment processes, including candidate communication, website management, application database oversight and serving as the primary point of contact for candidates.
  • You will lead the student temp hiring processes, including ensuring timely submission of timesheets, approving time on behalf of faculty supervisors, regular review of gross pay registers (GPR), and resolving issues related to student's pay.
  • Help facilitate onboarding and offboarding of faculty.
  • College degree or equivalent education.
  • 4+ years of related administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, particularly MS Office products.

The general posting range for this position is $53,000-$59,000. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor agreement and transparency throughout the recruiting process. Selected candidates whose start date is after April 1st will be eligible for the annual salary program in September 2025, if offered.
