GENERAL FUNCTION

Directly responsible for delivering the profitability on sales objectives of the company on all Essilor products through all Varilux and non-Varilux labs in the territory. Implements company plans of action to insure proper support and purchase of Essilor products. Maintains a professional image and establishing Essilor as the preferred lens manufacturer in the assigned territory.

 

  MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and increases product demands for Essilor products in the territory through personal sales effort.
  • Leads quarterly business reviews and strategic planning with Varilux distributors and key customers.
  • Increases sales in a manner that promotes the long-term growth, position acceptance, and prestige of Essilor.
  • Secures position and placement of new products within the lab customer’s portfolio.
  • Develops new accounts for Essilor products.
  • Maintains effective verbal and written communications to Manager of issues and trends in the territory impacting Essilor success.
  • Achieves the territory sales forecast on all products.
  • Stays within the budgetary guidelines.
  • Meets or exceeds the standards set forth in the Essilor “Expectations” position evaluations.
  • Completes reports and other administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Completes thorough needs assessment for each laboratory in the assigned territory.
  • Identifies problems and opportunities affecting Essilor’s performance in the field along with the possible solutions necessary to rectify those situations.
  • Follows Essilor policies and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains a call cycle to effectively cover all the labs in their territory.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of competitive products and positioning to share with leadership.
  • Develops a thorough understanding and implementation of the Sandler Sales System on all calls.
  • Develops a thorough understanding and utilization of computer functions to insure professionalism in presentation and written communication.
  • Effective communications with ECP Management Team.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A./B.S. degree in an appropriate discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of successful sales experience in the ophthalmic lens industry or related experience.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, annual planning and monthly reporting
  • Project management.
  • Highly developed and effective verbal and written communication skills.
