Forklift / Inventory Control

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client, are NOW HIRING a 1st shift Forklift Operator / Inventory Control Associate in the Plainfield, Indiana, area!

17.72 / hour

Shift: 1st shift, 6AM - 2:30PM, Monday to Friday

The Inventory Control role entails overseeing customer inventory in storage racks and requires certification to operate Order Picker/Cherry Picker equipment. Proficiency with RF scanners and data entry for warehouse management systems is essential. Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining order quality.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operations of Order Picker/ Cherry Picker Forklift
• Operate RF scanners to accurately locate, fill orders and effectively manage inventory
• Accurately count location prior to pick and after pick to ensure pick accuracy.
• Build pallets according to weight and size to prevent any crushing of product.
• Wrap pallets prior to staging
• Proper placement of shipping labels on the completed pallets prior to staging.
• Staging cargo within the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner
• Responsible for general housekeeping to ensure warehouse standards of cleanliness and organization are maintained. This may include sweeping, consolidation of product, removal of dunnage and other tasks as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety policies when performing picking assignments
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Job Requirements:

• Must Have Inventory Control / Data Entry / Forklift Experience
• Required to pass safety training and obtain certification to operator Order Picker forklift.
• Submit to and pass a background check.
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Could be standing and/or walking for long periods daily while frequently bending, twisting, reaching, and consistently lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Product, size, and weight of boxes will vary throughout the day.
• Not afraid of heights.
