Job Title: SIT-DOWN Forklift Operator

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will handle a sit down propane quad forklift to perform various warehouse duties. Your main tasks will include picking customer orders from high locations, stacking them on pallets, wrapping pallets, staging orders, and loading trucks. You will also be responsible for changing propane tanks on forklifts. Work hours include a first shift from Monday to Friday, with occasional late stays until 5:00 PM and some Saturdays during the busy season. There is an option to start early at 5:00 AM. This position offers a starting hourly rate between $18.00 and $19.25 with potential monthly bonuses, bringing the effective rate to approximately $21.25 per hour.

Hard Skills

• 1+ year of sit down propane quad forklift experience
• RF Scanner Experience
• 1+ year of order picking experience
• Experience moving product into and out of high five racks

Soft Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in non-climate controlled environments

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in New Lenox, Illinois.

Work Environment

The work setting is a large warehouse filled with pipe fittings. The team consists of approximately 6 employees, including order pickers, forklift operators, a supervisor, and a lead. The warehouse is not climate controlled; it will be cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
