Responsible for clerical and administrative office support to achieve category and/or departmental goals, including formalized data entry / scheduling work as well as ad-hoc needs and special projects. Minimum - Proficient in Microsoft Office - Executes with excellence - Highly organized and accountable, with strong time management - Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skill with high attention to detail - Ability to prioritize tasks, resources and schedules - Flexibility to handle ever changing scope of assignments and projects - Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment Desired - Any experience in Merchandising department - Knowledge of Kroger Category Management systems - Knowledge of Kroger mainframe applications- Provide clerical and administrative support and assistance to all roles in category management to achieve overall financial and strategic goals - Manage, coordinate, and plan team calendars, including internal and external meetings, appointments, and travel to stores and/or vendors - Facilitate and manage data / input gathering across 84.51, divisions, and Our Brands; provide ad-hoc report generation - Provide data entry and proofreading support for sales planning, systems, contracts, forms, etc. - Manage day-to-day communication with divisions and suppliers for non-urgent questions, follow-up, and administrative information at the discretion of the category manager; escalate to higher levels if decision-making is needed - Identify and resolve day-to-day issues (UPC, pricing, item set-up) efficiently; know appropriate time to include rest of category management team - Engage in ad-hoc support and special projects at the discretion of the category management team - Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
