Job Title: Health Service Administrator
Location: Orlando, FL
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Service Administrator to join our team in the Orlando, FL area. The successful candidate will work closely with the Medical Services provider to ensure the strategic, operational, and management goals for the Division are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Medical Services provider to align the Division's activities with strategic objectives. Ensure that operational and management outcomes are met effectively.
Operational Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the daily operations of the Division. Ensure healthcare services are delivered in compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation criteria.
Leadership and Team Management: Assume a leadership role within the Division, managing fiscal responsibilities, provider relations, and recruitment efforts. Address patient complaints and perform all necessary functions to uphold the mission and vision of the Division.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor Division operations to ensure adherence to established policies, standards, and all applicable national and state healthcare standards, laws, regulations, codes, and rules, especially those pertinent to correctional facilities.
Policy Development and Implementation: Work with the Medical Services provider to develop, review, and implement healthcare policies and procedures, job descriptions, staffing analyses, training programs for corrections and healthcare personnel, orientation plans, emergency response plans, safety systems, nursing assessment protocols, etc.
Service Quality Assurance: Develop mechanisms to ensure that appropriate types and scopes of services are provided and properly monitored. Facilitate coordinated care among multidisciplinary healthcare providers.
Performance Monitoring: Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of health services policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure all patients receive quality care in accordance with established standards.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues promptly. Handle complaints and inquiries from attorneys and inmate family members regarding inmate treatment. Serve as a liaison between inmates and their families for healthcare decisions.
Continuity of Care: Collaborate with families, other facilities, and community providers to ensure continuity of care for patients transitioning between different levels of healthcare services.
