Job Description - HR Coordinator (Remote)

A2 Hosting is currently looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our small but mighty HR team.  The HR Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department including the recruitment and onboarding of team members, managing time and attendance for various departments, and answering questions regarding various HR policies.

 

Working alongside a team of passionate professionals and leaders, the HR Coordinator will be an integral part in ensuring that A2 Hosting is a preferred employer and leader in web hosting services.  Role-Specific Information

  • Monday-Friday schedule following US Eastern Time business hours
  • Currently only open to US-based candidates
  • Will be the third member of a small and highly collaborative HR team, reporting directly to the Director of HR but working closely with the HR Generalist

What you'll do

  • Manage the administrative processes for various HR functions including onboarding (for team members and contractors), personnel file management, performance management, and offboarding
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation, including technical setup, for all new hires and contractors
  • Prepare for payroll processing by reviewing time cards and sending reminders 
  • Assist with recruitment efforts; including but not limited to scheduling interviews, maintaining our applicant tracking system, communicating with candidates, and conducting interviews
  • Answer HR related questions from team members and managers, escalating questions as needed
  • Participate in developing and executing department goals, processes, objectives, and systems
What We're Looking For
  • A minimum of 1 year of HR experience required, specifically for a US-based organization
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in supporting a remote organization, preferably with a globally distributed workforce 
  • Expert grasp of English language - Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English to communicate with team members through all utilized channels (email, Slack, video conferencing, and phone)
  • Professional experience, comfort, and excitement with being the "welcoming committee" and creating a great new hire experience
  • Experience in supporting recruiting efforts, ATS management, and candidate communications strongly preferred  
  • Proven interpersonal skills - constantly maintains a high level of professionalism and empathy while interacting with candidates, team members, managers, and vendors
  • Effective in time management and prioritization – the ability to work independently and with remote team members to meet deadlines and handle shifting priorities
  • Team focused mentality with the ability to collaborate, communicate, and problem solve alongside team members at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptionally organized - strongly detail oriented and focused on ensuring processes are followed flawlessly

Aside from our data center team, A2 Hosting is a fully remote organization with a globally distributed workforce. With that, there is a lot of flexibility on where our team members can work, although there may be position specific limitations or requirements for the role. Additionally, since each state in the US operates as an independent entity, companies must have business licensing to hire in each state. Because of that, A2 Hosting is not able to hire in all states. At this time, we are licensed to hire in the following states: AR, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KY, MD, MI, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SD, TX, UT, VA, VT, and WI.
