Job Description - HR Generalist

HR Generalist

Temporary - $29/Hour

Bloomington, IL

Monday to Friday - flexible hours 7:30am or 8:00am - 4:30 pm or 5:00 pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the orientation of new employees, managing I-9 documentation, coordinating background checks, and supporting the recruitment process. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with spreadsheets and word documents, is essential for this role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the orientation of new employees in collaboration with the HR Generalist

  • Input I-9 information into the computer system accurately and efficiently

  • Follow up on background checks to ensure timely completion

  • Organize and maintain applications for recruiters, ensuring all necessary information is readily available

  • Track applicant status and provide regular updates to the HR team

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in HR administration or a similar role preferred

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and word documents

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism

  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
