Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. LocationOur West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job SummaryThe Human Resource Generalist performs specialized duties in support of the university¿s Human Resources function. This role is responsible for the human resource processes required for student workers full cycle hiring at Albany State University. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Human Resource Generalist makes that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. Responsibilities
Processes all student workers full cycle hiring process. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or a combination of training and equivalent experience.
At least one year of human resources experience
Two years of experience with with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications2-3 years of experience working in a HR department
PeopleSoft experience
Proposed SalarySalary range is from $37,000 to $45,000
