Not only do we provide a portfolio of coatings, but we also work closely with our customers to help solve some of their most difficult problems through rapid innovation and ingenuity.    Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized individual to coordinate multiple activities in our lab, providing essential support in a fast-paced startup environment. This role includes maintaining lab facilities, supporting research activities, ensuring safety conditions, and managing supplies and equipment. Responsibilities: Instruments:

• Support equipment maintenance and software updates by scheduling technical service appointments, organizing schedules with teams, and purchasing necessary parts and supplies.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues when instruments are down or malfunctioning.

Facilities and Supplies:

• Maintain inventory of PPE, hardware, and consumables.
• Lead procurement of consumables and other lab supplies required by the team.

Safety:

• Maintain inventory and manage disposal of chemical waste based on OSHA and RCRA regulations by monitoring satellite waste areas, managing the main accumulation area, and coordinating removal with our hazardous waste consultant.
• Manage chemical inventory, including periodic inventory reconciliations and SDS management.
• Ensure safe and proper space/tool utility by performing regular site walks, highlighting areas that need action/escalation, and reporting findings frequently.
• Support employees on lab operations and organization.
• Organize updates on training with the help of the instrument steward if new capabilities are acquired.

Shipping:

• Coordinate domestic and international shipping of actnano coatings and coated substrates.
• Complete dangerous goods shipments following IATA and DOT regulations.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support on various projects throughout the team and laboratory manager.

Requirements:

• An associate’s degree or 2 years of postsecondary education or a high school degree with 2+ years of experience in laboratory environments.
• Highly organized and motivated individual with the ability to coordinate multiple activities in the lab.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
