Job Description - Legal Secretary

Job Description

Busy one attorney office that works mainly in family law seeking a skilled Legal Secretary to join our team.  You will provide administrative support to the attorney, ensuring smooth operations within the office.  Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial in managing legal documents and maintaining communication with clients.

Duties include:

*  Prepare and file legal documents, such as pleadings and motions.  

*  Organize and maintain client files and case documents

* Assist attorney in preparing for trials, hearings and such

*  Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendar

*  Communicate with clients, opposiing counsel and court personnel

*  Prepare correspondence and draft basic legal documents

*  Mantain document management systems and legal case management software

*  Answer phone calls 

*  perform general administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing

Job Requirements

computer skills, microsoft word, outlook, microsoft excel, typing, organizational skills,
