***Local CandidatesWe are seeking a Laboratory Certification Software Developer who will provide software development services, operational support, and software build and release services for systems support. The engagement may also include software development and operational support activities related to other interfaces and systems supported by the Support team.The selected contractor must be familiar with a variety of IT technologies, methodologies and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. They will have proven experience in software development and design, and experience with a variety of old and new Microsoft software technologies. They will work with the Support team, and a variety of other Services Delivery Center teams to define needs, analyze problems, recommend solutions, and provide the technical support required to maintain consistent, quality level service.The objectives of this engagement are:
• Serve as software developer and technical support specialist for Laboratory Certification and other systems supported by the Support team.
• Assist the Support team with the iConnect Laboratory Web portal integration project.
• Assist the Support team with upgrades and improvements to the existing systems.
• Assist the Support team with the transition from the old system to a new LIMS.
• Confer with various technical teams and customer representatives to ensure solutions conform to customer and technical support specifications.
• Create and maintain technical process and system documentation as needed.
• Maintain technical skills and knowledge required to support the systems.
• Ensure deliverable compliance with all standards and procedures.
• Maintain and support Laboratory Certification and other interfaces and systems used through the following daily activities: system error monitoring and resolution, system code fixes, data fixes, and data validation.
• Troubleshoot performance issues at the server, applications, and database levels.
• Develop new and modified software code per business requirements that conforms to the best practices and standards.
• Assisting all software build and release activities for the system, Laboratory Certification System, Laboratory Web Portal integration, and other interfaces and systems used.
• Assisting technical support activities related to the transition from the system to a new LIMS.
• Assisting in creating and maintaining technical documentation that conforms to best practices and standards.
• Adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) established.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for SDLC workflow and software code repository.
• Provide status reporting conforming to intervals and standards mandated by the Applications Developer Administrator.Technology Stack

Required / Desired Skills

  • Web focused, data driven software development using Microsoft .NET 4.5 or higher and SQL Servervvvv (Required 5 Years)
  • Designing and maintaining complex SQL Server databases, SSIS and SSRS solutions (Required 5 Years)
  • Web focused, data driven software development using Microsoft’s Entity Framework (Required 3 Years)
  • Web application development experience with Razor pages (Highly Desired 1 Years)
  • Healthcare industry (focus on health information technology) (Highly Desired 1 Years)
  • Federal, State, and Local government experience (Desired 1 Years)
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in a relevant field. (Desired 1 Years)
