Description:

Looking for a skilled CNC machinist/programmer to for their machine shop.

Candidates will be required to operate numerous different kinds of machines (Lathe, OD Grinder, Surface Grinder, Knee Mill, Bridgeport Mill, Radial Drill).

Candidates will be required to work form drawings and complete the machining of the part from start to finish. Set up, machine, and tear down the machine for the next job.

Typical day: They will be given a drawing in the morning from the supervisor and they will be required to get the material necessary to do the job. They will then decide what machine to use and then machine the part from start to finish. They will most likely start on a lathe and finish the work up on a Bridgeport.

Tolerances will be labeled on the drawing but will range from .1-.03 plus or minus. Job sizes will range from 1-20 parts but average usually around 10.

Musts:

-CNC Machining experience - 5+ years of experience

-Blueprint reading, SolidWorks

-Good knowledge of the Metric system and good math skills

-Ability to work with Micrometers, calipers, etc

Plus:

-Machine maintenance experience (changing fluid levels, checking oil levels, changing coolant)

-Experience working on CNC Mazak, manual knee mill, radial drill, OD Grinder, Surface grinder

-Manual Machining experience

-Journeyman Tool and Die experience
