A leading University in Newark, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Manager to support to administration, operations, facilities special projects. This is a temporary role for about 6 months with a possibility of extension and opportunity to apply to the permanent role. Pay rate: $45- $50/hr depending on experience Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Location: 30 Bergen St, Newark NJ Required skills: Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience; and a minimum of five years industrial experience Also requires supervisory experience and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Requires excellent communications and computer skills.
Position summary: Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Facilities Maintenance initiates, plans, estimates, and coordinates work orders for the repair, maintenance changes and additions to assigned facilities.
Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs for buildings and equipment. Coordinates with other departmental supervisors, contractors, and maintenance personnel. This is a strict supervisory role and will not perform any maintenance or repairs. Duties include but not limited to;
