Maintenance Technician

Highlighted Requirements:

- Must have good mechanical aptitude (someone who has worked on cars would be a good person for this position)

- Experience ordering/ identifying parts is a plus

-Perform a variety of electrical, plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions, including painting interior and exterior walls and trim, HVAC and HVAC filter replacement, plumbing, lighting, moving and storage

-Be able to stand and walk 8 hours a day

- Intermediate Computer skills

- Organizational skills

- Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems and good problem solving skills

- Must be dependable and have a good attendance and work ethic

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

- Perform major and minor mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and installation and repair of production machines.

- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities including burner cleaning and shot blast upkeep.

- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Air tool repair.

- Replace worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts.

- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions, including but not limited to, painting interior and exterior walls and trim, HVAC and HVAC filter replacement, plumbing, lighting, moving and storage.

- Perform grounds keeping functions, including but not limited to, snow removal for parking lots and sidewalks and asphalt patchwork

- Provide coverage for 2nd and 3rd shift maintenance personnel (if applicable)

- Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision

- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment and follow prescribed regulations
