Overview The Marketing Manager will be the liason for the hotels, responsible for maintaining the individual marketing strategies to meet each organization's objectives to enhance the image of the hotels. They will evaluate partner/vendor feedback, market conditions, and competitor information, and help to implement marketing plan changes as needed. The Marketing Manager helps coordinate and execute administrative tasks, marketing, advertising, social media and promotional activities. They will develop marketing partnerships, collateral and guest programming opportunities. This role coordinates with the marketing and PR efforts to support their respective missions. Responsibilities
- Manage the brand agencies on a daily basis during brand identity development, including the management of the scopes of work, collateral design and printing etc.
- Coordinate with hotels to organize special events that will generate great press and PR
- Research and identify co-marketing companies that will complement the hotel brand and institute programs or events that will generate buzz
- Create and curate unique lifestyle programming in coordination with the hotel operations teams that can then be used in PR articles and social media activity
- Manage the PR agencies on a daily basis, ensuring objectives, strategies and road maps are executed in a timely manner
- Educate stakeholders on marketing Brand Standards to ensure compliance
- Coordinate with e-Commerce / Directors of Revenue to: Integrate Branding efforts to e-Marketing and paid on-line advertising strategies (e.g. e-Blasts, e-Brochures/modules, e-Proposals) throughout all other communication vehicles (social media, PR, blog content, direct mail, etc.)
- Support website blogs and help develop the content strategy
- Develop relevant promotions and packages as a result of PR and other marketing initiatives
- Manage marketing plans e.g. advertising (off line) and co-ordinate on online marketing activity if required with Directors of Revenue
- Assist with the development of marketing budgets
- Assist with brand awareness and marketing campaign development
- Assist with Hotel FFE / OS&E / - research with involvement in development & selection i.e. music, scent, uniforms, amenities
- Oversee hotel photo shoots (as a new property - DOSM will oversee this) and manage the hotel's photo libraries
- Develop and implement property and Lifestyle division marketing partnership opportunities and continuously focus on marketing initiatives to create customer loyalty and increase market share
- Collaborate with the Social Media manager on online reputation management and messaging on 3rd party sites to ensure communications are as per the brand, and drive online content social media opportunities
- Maintain the internal Highgate hotels portals with all the most up to date Lifestyle Hotel information - photographs / fact sheets / releases etc.
- Provide support in strategic planning, market research, presentation development and any other additional requests as per Senior Management
- Create monthly reports and monitor effective benchmarks for measuring KPIs / ROIs for all marketing campaigns
- Monitor trends in marketing; social media tools, and applications
- Develop a complete knowledge of company marketing policies and SOP's, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the marketing team
- Manage hotel and highgate internal deliverables
- Lead and assist on other duties as assigned by Director or RVP Sales & Marketing. Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience in the Marketing/Communications (hospitality industry essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies for individual properties, including ROI / KPI metrics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong presentation and communications skills both verbally and written
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships (e.g. GMs, Sales and Revenue Leaders, Regional Team, Media Representatives)
  • Strong project management or organizational skills
  • Ability to organize focused and exclusive events
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
  • Knowledge of social media, content creation
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to deliver strong print and collateral marketing materials
  • Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure & high stress environment
  • Exceptional with details and follow up
