Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Cop2Cop department within the Call Center in University Behavioral Healthcare. Under supervision of the Program Administrator, supervises all the day-to-day aspects of the Cop2Cop, Resilience Police Officer (RPO), Corrections and First Responders program, represents the at events and act as the liaison to funding agencies, State representatives, collaborating agencies, and referrals sources as needed and/or required by this position. Supervises the activities and staff of the Cop2Cop, Resilience Police Officer (RPO), Corrections and First Responder Peer Support Program serving first responders, family members and caregivers. Ensures the quality of the telephone-based counseling and crisis interventions are provided. Ensures compliance with relevant funding agency and regulatory agency. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Participates as a member of the management team and is responsible for overseeing, managing and preparing documentation needed by the funding agencies to continue funding.
Develops, directs and coordinates administrative systems including: review and verification of utilization data, data tracking for gaps in documentation for the department.
Manages and coordinates data collection, data entry and verification of entries for resources database and interfaces with offsite entities to coordinate.
Assists in assessing, coordinating and monitoring purchasing and budgetary requests and expenditures. Provides assistance in determining that expenditures are in accordance with established guidelines.
Supervises and/or maintains administrative documentation to identify gaps in documentation of the telephone encounters and assures the work environments are compliant with UBHC standards of operation, and other relevant documents for staff.
Directly supervises assigned staff.
Develops marketing materials for existing telephone helplines as well as services under development; assists the Program Administrator with dissemination and marketing presentations.
Minimum Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in a mental health discipline plus four (4) years post master’s experience in the behavioral health field.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Certifications/Licenses
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Psychologist.
Valid driver’s license.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Computer and word processing skills.
Excellent writing, organizational, and communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year of prior supervisory experience.
Experience in the area of law enforcement.
