The NSTTC is the DoD‘s only Space Range supported by the 11 Delta Operations Squadron (11 DOS) located at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs. The NSTTC ensures safe and secure operations and provides its customers with realistic space environment to support test, training, and exercise activities. The 11 DOS supports NSTTC customers to plan and schedule test, training, or exercise events. JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Functioning as the work unit lead, the Mission Operations Scheduler IV coordinates test program objectives and data requirements with project officer/test director and applicable systems for each test and assists in eliminating conflicts between tests and systems. Responsibilities involve supporting customers who are directly involved in programs entailing air operations, logistics, mission planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts at the operational work sites. • Oversee development, prioritization, and implementation of the weekly, monthly, and 90-day program flying schedules. • De-conflicts unique flight-test assets to best meet objectives to support day, night, and current flight-test operations. • Schedule range time and bandwidth for personnel, visiting personnel travel, and staff transporting material in preparation for test operations. • Coordinates changes in real-time operations. • Responsible for planning and executing various events and exercises of multiple systems and programs associated with NSTTC operations at home and abroad. • Demonstrate through knowledge and application, a firm understanding of Space Range system-level operations, system architecture, and system interfaces. • Ensure established safety and security parameters are maintained. • Develop a comprehensive understanding of various NNSTTC mission support processes and procedures to include, but not limited to evaluating PID/SOCs, Operations Requests, Operational Directives, Range Control Plans and CONOPS. • Scheduling and Planning NSTTC support for test, training, and exercises from simple training events to complex COCOM exercises involving multiple customers and deployment sites. • Integrating planning efforts across the Nevada Test and Training Range and cyber ranges. • Select appropriate range system solutions based on capabilities and limitations to align to customer requirements. • Coordinates customer requirements for SATCOM signal environments such as satellite transponder signal sets (transmissions plans), ground system configuration plans, bandwidth requirements, and training scenarios. • Communicate with clarity and candor to ensure successful execution of events which meets or exceeds the customer‘s expectations. • Coordinating activities conducted on the NSTTC using the universal documentation system. • Support training of new range personnel. • Participate in acquisition process on new NSTTC systems to provide operational perspective. Activities include requirements input/review, design review, test, training, and system documentation. • Provide work direction to work unit subordinate personnel. • Assist Project and/or /Program Managers with the daily conduct of large project/program activities involving Project tasks. • Perform other related duties as assigned or directed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their assigned job. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is primarily sedentary in an office and operations center environment; however, some walking, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, stretching, and lifting up to 40 pounds are required. The incumbent must have good visual acuity and the ability to discern all colors of the spectrum. This position may require routine travel to remote Company work locations. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE The incumbent must be a high school graduate and have obtained training from a military school or gained equivalent on-the-job training specific to functions of the work unit. Possess 9 years experience in the local work unit operations and a minimum of 13 years experience in space operations, range or bandwidth management, or associated activities. This position requires working knowledge of overall mission, priority assignments, scheduling procedures, and requirements of range users. The incumbent must have detailed knowledge of range capabilities and limiting factors, operational security constraints, mandatory safety parameters, and support system capability. The incumbent must have good verbal and written communication skills, experience in the use of computer terminals, and proficient in the use of word processing and integrated software applications. The incumbent must be able to work duty days in excess of eight hours, shift work, overnight stays, and weekend work to meet required schedule demands. This position will require travel and may require the ability to obtain and retain a Security Clearance and must possess a valid state issued driver‘s license. SALARY The expected pay range for this position is 73K to 107K The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
