Job Description - Network Operations Support Staff

Description

SAIC is seeking a Network Operations Support Staff to assist in the design and implementation of network operations. Provide first-level troubleshooting and support, maintaining optimal network performance. Participate in network configuration and documentation processes. Support network upgrade projects and collaborates with engineers to resolve technical issues. Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with emerging technologies and standards in network operations.

The Network Operations Support Staff candidates are required to be located near Boyers, PA. The customer's current policy allows for a maximum of 3 days of telework a week. Policy is subject to change for the life of the contract.

The candidate shall have experience configuring and supporting enterprise class network hardware in a highly redundant environment with a focus on ensuring uptime requirements are met, ability to independently respond to and correct errors and hardware exceptions on a wide variety of network hardware, the ability to be on site in one of OPM’s datacenter locations within 2 hours of an identified event.

This opportunity is contingent upon award.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications: AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance

Experience working independently and with a team to provide network support to enterprise class hardware systems, experience working with various infrastructure tools for monitoring purposes, network-based configuration backups, incident reporting, ticket tracking, excellent written and verbal skills. 

  • Knowledge of network protocols and hardware configurations.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
