Job Description:

Vanir is recruiting a candidate to fill the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Operations Support position. The successful candidate will be assisting as Operations subject matter expert in the planning, development, coordination, scheduling, and execution of operational readiness elements.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design Review
  • SOP/COP Collection Review
  • Risk & Issues Identification
  • Final Acceptance Documentation
  • Project Closure Report
  • Participate in and support planning of the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Program.
  • Review project design and specifications documents to determine the operational requirements of facilities and systems for select CIP projects.
  • Conduct project assessments to develop a comprehensive list of standard operating procedures required for new projects.
  • Coordinate and facilitate working groups to ensure operations requirements all systems/equipment,facilities and stakeholders needs are captured and shared with relevant stakeholders for the operational readiness of new facilities.
  • Identify and develop risks and issues lists, per project.
  • Assist in defining/aligning operational performance/acceptance levels for project final acceptance conditions with the applicable stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the AOR Subject Matter Experts on the operational readiness requirements.
  • Submits weekly work efforts and status reports to the AOR Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction, Planning or related fields; preferred with a concentration in training and development; or related field.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience at a level within a similar role.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an airport operational setting is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems.
  • Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation,communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
  • Proven leadership and management capability is required.
  • Good written and oral communications skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proven team management skills with effective communication across functions.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems.
  • Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training,documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
  • Proven leadership and management capability is required.
  • Conduct business in a professional manner, keeping the client and projects at the forefront of every day’s priority.
  • Work with team members to actively contribute to the group to complete tasks, meet goals or manage projects.
  • Work as a team player, actively listening to coworkers, respect ideas and aim to improve the product or process at hand.
  • Great written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills as well as time management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical and logical thinking required.
  • May assume other duties as required/needed.
  • This position offers a hybrid/telework schedule.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $90,000-$105,000.
