Operating Room RN Opportunity in the United Kingdom

Civilian, contracted opportunity for a Registered Nurse to provide full-time services in the Operating Room at the U.S. military treatment facility located overseas at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom.

We will safely relocate the provider upon all Government approvals, sometime in Fall 2021.

Currently, all providers are required to take a COVID test upon arrival and quarantine for 2 weeks. The quarantine period is paid time.

Qualification requirements are:

Education:

Must possess a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.

Certifications: Have 1 of the following:
-Basic Life Support (BLS)

-Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Experience:

Must possess a minimum of 1 full year within the last 3 years of RN experience providing OR services.

- preparation of surgical suite

- preparing patient for surgery

- assisting (sometimes referred to as circulating or scrubbing)

- instrument and equipment decontamination and sterilization

- patient recovery

- experience with range of procedures from multiple specialties (Ortho, General Surgery, Podiatry, OBGYN, oral surgery, etc.)
