Job Description - Operations Specialist

POSITION: Operations Specialist

LOCATION: Fresno, CA

REPORTS TO: Processing Manager & Operations Manager

SALARY: $18.00-$28.00/hr, DOE

We are a diverse group of companies, from Electric Motor Repair, Electrical Distribution and Construction, to Landfill Management to Recycling to Waste and Disposal.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Providing advanced clerical, administrative, and field support for all aspects of daily operations. Working directly with various managers assisting with a large range of projects and tasks. Supporting the maintenance departments with parts and inventory management, scheduling and tracking repairs, and software administration.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, analyze, and submit reports to management, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Input, track, and assist with scheduling maintenance tasks, ordering parts, and tracking inventory.
  • Procure and maintain relationships with various vendors for safety, scale house, and bale supplies.
  • Coordinate with management as point-of-contact for all temporary labor services ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Provide entry and reporting into employee time and attendance system under direction of management.
  • Recommend operational and administrative changes to improve efficiencies.
  • Develop and/or maintain various advanced formula spreadsheets and reports.
  • Process, code, and track packing slips, invoices, and statements on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and provide administrative support for trainings in multiple departments.
  • Participate in community engagement activities and provide tours to various members of the public.
  • Assist management with various executive administrative tasks, special projects, and implementations.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum three+ years prior experience in advanced administrative work.
  • Bilingual verbal and written, English/Spanish is required.
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Proficient data entry with advanced Microsoft Office/Excel experience.
  • Technology driven and inspired with previous professional experience or educational courses a plus.
  • Must be willing to work in an outdoor setting with exposure to various weather conditions, dust, odors, noise, etc.
  • Highly self-motivated with ability to complete tasks with limited supervision.
  • Excellent ability to communicate and interact with all levels of company personnel.
