Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for an on-call Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Clinical Research Dept. (Inpatient Services).

Responsibilities:

• Possess excellent peripheral IV cannulation and phlebotomy skills.
• Experience in all aspects of the use, care, and management of Implanted Vascular Access Devices.
• Collection of biological specimens.
• Administration and oversight of investigational medical products.
• Provide emergency intervention, documentation and report adverse and serious adverse events.
• Collaborate with clinical research team including Primary Investigator, Study Coordinators, pharmacy, and child life.
• CITI training.

Qualifications:

• Current RN License in the State of Oregon.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers is required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification is preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in pediatrics is preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; proficient computer skills.
