We provide statewide leadership of highly valued mental health & addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery at OhioMHAS!

We are looking for team members who will serve compassionately, contribute & collaborate, deliver quality and be accountable.

What We Do:

OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

The Job Opportunity and Duties:

What you will do:

  • Performs duties of Director of Pharmacy Services & accepts ultimate responsibility for all phases of Pharmacy Services operation: administrative functions include control of, monitoring of & modification of drug distribution system; recognizing opportunity to improve drug distribution system; develops, maintains & coordinates all activities of pharmaceutical services in adherence to all laws & regulations
  • Integrates activities & goals of Pharmacy Services department with those of other departments in order to increase efficiency, improve patient care, & meet standards of all accrediting & certifying agencies
  • Procures, trains & supervises professional, sub-professional & clerical personnel;
  • Does inventory control and procures necessary supplies & equipment
  • Develops, maintains & monitors efficiency in operational systems
  • Performs professional functions which include performance of dispensing, clinical drug information, & other related duties: consults with Physician, nurse & other relevant personnel on matters relating to pharmaceuticals & drug therapy
  • Participates in collection & dissemination of drug information
  • Participates in Drug Utilization Reviews
  • Participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee & repackages, compounds & manufacturers pharmaceuticals
  • Generates & reviews patients' Pharmacy profiles for potential problems & specific patterns of drug utilization as it relates to age (i.e., adolescents, adult, geriatric); performs routine inspections of ward drug distribution areas & methods

Qualifications


Current & valid license to practice pharmacy as issued by Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, pursuant to Sections 4729.01 to 4729.29, inclusive of Ohio Revised Code.



  • Or 12 mos. exp. as Pharmacist, 65411.

  • Or alternative, equivalent evidence of the major worker characteristics, noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure

Monday - Friday; flexible to meet operational needs

Pre-Employment Drug Testing:


The final applicant selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to an appointment.
