Printing/Engraving Operator Assistant | First Shift | Bond Hill, OH
As a Printing and Engraving Operator Assistant, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing and engraving equipment to produce high-quality printed and engraved materials. Your role will involve setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting printing and engraving processes to ensure accurate reproduction of designs and artwork according to client specifications and company standards.
Responsibilities :
- Operate printing and engraving equipment, including presses, printers, engraving machines, and related machinery.
- Set up printing and engraving jobs by loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment according to job specifications.
- Monitor printing and engraving processes to ensure quality control, including color accuracy, registration, and engraving depth. Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies to supervisor.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on printing and engraving equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with design and prepress teams to prepare artwork, plates, or digital files for printing and engraving.
- Inspect printed and engraved materials for defects or errors and make adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production records, including job logs, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflows, improve processes, and achieve production goals.
Requirements ;
- At least 1 year experience working with print presses or similar work.
- Must have a clean background for the last 7 years and pass a drug test including TH C
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks. This position works in a production/warehouse setting
- Ability to work 40 hours a week consistently
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Pay:
Starts at $17/hr, willing to increase based on similar work experience
