Job Summary

We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Procurement Associate II. You will play a pivotal role in our procurement operations, combining essential procurement knowledge with hands-on experience supporting the Non wovens category. Your primary responsibilities will involve executing procurement strategies, troubleshooting purchase orders issues, and serving as a liaison between R&E and the suppliers for projects and orders while fostering effective supplier relationships.

 

Job Description

Specifics

  • The contractor would report on a day-to-day basis and support.
  • The role is largely administrative / transactional with a requirement to work with systems, partner with stakeholders and supplier and keep structured records.
  • Work is largely associated with change management and new material evaluation; commercial negotiations and contracts will be handled by company.
  • The programs are critical to Company and there is a bottleneck obtaining samples for R&E trials, driving requisitions and deliveries through our COUPA system and setting up new suppliers in our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase order troubleshooting: Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders, such as pricing discrepancies, delivery delays or quality concerns. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to address and mitigate issues promptly.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment on expectations, performance metrics and scorecards. Proactively identify opportunities for supplier collaboration and process improvements
  • ERP System Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft office, SAP and other ERP systems proficiently to manage procurement activities such as orders, scorecards, and any reporting needed.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support project timelines and deliverables, ensuring seamless execution of procurement initiatives.
  • Project Management: Apply project management principles to monitor project progress and manage potential risks or issues.

 

Skills Required

  • Candidate needs to have some sort of ERP systems experience (example: SAP/ Coupa (Coupa is highly preferred). Needs to have 2+ years of Tactical buyer experience
  • Candidates must have a background in manufacturing, specifically with direct materials (nonwoven products/ feminine care/child or baby care products).
  • Candidates must be able to understand and troubleshoot issues within direct materials (could be things like: chemicals/ packaging, etc. as long as its manufacturing direct materials experience).
  • Candidate will be working with suppliers/vendors so must have great communication skills to excel in this position.
  • Project management experience is also a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
  • Experience with SAP and other ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

 

Education/Training/Certification

  • Bachelors degree in Business, supply chain or related field preferred.

  • Position is hybrid: onsite 1 day/week, preferably on Wednesdays. Located in Roswell, GA.
