Summary
At Career Academy, our school receptionist will greet visitors and parents, answer phones, help schedule meetings, and support the staff and students through a variety of task that come up daily. Their job is a blend of customer service, clerical, and secretarial work.
Qualifications
· Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Experience: Two years of equivalent experience
Primary Responsibilities
· Greet visitors, parents, and students when they come to the main entrance.
· Assist with students who come in late to school/leave early from school to ensure they have signed in/out and have a pass to class.
· Answer phone calls and provide information on a variety of topics, including procedures, disciplinary measures, and day-to-day operations of the school.
· Ability to multi-task and organize projects as needed.
· Share information broadly with administrators, teacher, and students' families through email, phone calls, or alternative form of communication.
· Maintain the records of phone logs, checks that come in the mail, visitor logs, attendance logs, and other logs that are needed to be kept in the front office.
· Receiving and sorting of the mail.
· Assist with filing student records and helping with record requests.
· All other duties assigned by building and district administration.
School Activities
· CASB receptionist is required to attend and/or participate in such other activities as directed by the Administrator such as: faculty meetings (before or after school hours), open houses, commencement exercises, chaperone student
activities, provide guidance for students, participate on faculty committees, study and help resolve school problems.
Essential Skills and Abilities
· Competency in computer programs & computer platforms needed in the school.
· Ability to use technology for documentation and preparation of professional materials
· Ability to prioritize tasks, allocate time, and maintain schedule flexibility
