Job Description - Recruiter

Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) is searching for a Recruiter to join our team in Louisville, KY . The Recruiter position is responsible for supporting the functions of staffing and recruitment activities for Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates. The role will work collaboratively with Human Resources staff and department managers to develop, facilitate, and implement clear recruitment processes to ensure legal and governmental compliance, train managers and teams on compliant interview and recruitment techniques, utilize technology for applicant tracking and reviewing data, as well as provide a friendly, energetic, and professional presence for all applicants and employees of the organization.

This role will also serve as a resource to the KODA Human Resources staff for various matters within the scope of responsibility and skill. This position works with minimal supervision and self-direction to complete goals and objectives as established by the Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer.

The responsibilities include:

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Develops job postings and facilitates the job advertisement processes using the applicant tracking system and any other applicable sources.
  • Screens applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements and selects qualified applicants to refer to hiring managers for interviewing using behavioral based interviewing methodologies.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Promotes KODA by attending and participating in college job fairs and other recruiting sessions as available.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with applicants, peers, hiring managers, and leadership.
  • Meets regularly with hiring managers to identify current and future needs as well as develop a thorough understanding of departmental needs.
  • Oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Provides training and coaching to managers and employees on legally compliant and best practice interviewing techniques.
  • Organizes, leads, and documents post-interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and candidates.
  • Extends offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers. Works collaboratively with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending appropriate salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Solicit current staff for referrals.
  • Assists employees with career development plans, recommendations for growth and assisting with internal job placement.
  • Provides regular updates to the VP/CAO on status of requisitions and the candidates.
  • Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and KODA policies and practices.
  • Provides comprehensive information to applicants regarding company operations, benefits, and opportunities.
  • Maintains accurate and compliant records on recruiting activities as required including updates within the applicant tracking system
  • Assists with analyzing, developing, coordinating, and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow in the recruitment/talent management function.
  • May participate in special projects and/or cross-functional project teams.
  • Continuously updates recruitment and human resources related knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and/or participating in professional organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education such as an Associate degree in human resources, business, or people-related field (sociology, organizational psychology) required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Extensive related experience may be substituted for educational requirements where applicable.
  • Three to five years of recruitment experience required . Experience with recruitment of multiple positions in varying departments and degrees of skill and educational levels is required. Healthcare recruiting background is preferred. Familiarity with applicant tracking software is strongly.
