Job Description - Recruiter/HR Specialist

Recruiter (HR Specialist)

Pay Rate: $28.00 -- $32.00 per hour

Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm; Monday-Friday

Location: Everett, WA

Duration: 8 months contract to start: temp-to-hire potential for strong performers!

The Human Resources Specialist ensures that hourly workforce planning and recruiting and new hire orientation programs are aligned with business priorities. This role will develop solid relationships with business leaders and HR partners to drive accurate workforce reporting, innovative recruiting strategies and process improvement; oversee full cycle talent acquisition and collaborate with key stakeholders on employee retention. Ideal candidates will have an interest in growing and developing in Human Resources Management.

Responsibilities:

Workforce Planning

  • Ensure upkeep of accurate and timely workforce planning tool and coverage information to support decision-making and planning.

  • Provide staffing and recruitment activity reports.

  • Coordinate seasonal and special project temporary needs, functioning as the liaison between the business and external vendors.

  • Conduct workforce planning check point meetings with the business and their teams.

Hourly Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with functional leadership to set and implement recruiting strategies and talent sourcing programs to meet business and operational needs for a complex organization.

  • Lead full life cycle recruiting process from requisition posting through sourcing and offer acceptance for all hourly FTE and contingent workers conversions (non-seasonal/short term need) positions.

  • Conduct intake meetings with the business and their teams to ensure alignment on position, candidate profile, and establish clarity on roles and responsibilities.

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for production hourly candidates such as direct sourcing, database mining, networking, cold-calling, community events, online communities, schools, external research, and social marketing.

  • Deliver recruiting process excellence by following internal policies and procedures, accurately tracking candidate and requisition activity in the applicant tracking system/other tracking tools and adhering to all significant compliance and legal requirements.

  • Solicit feedback on the recruitment process and drive improvements to help ensure positive candidate experience.

New Hire Orientation and Processing

  • Coordinate New Hire Orientation working with and through local presenters. May facilitate NHO section.

  • Solicit feedback on New Hire Orientation and drive improvements to help ensure positive new hire experience.

  • Collaborate with HR team on new hire processing.

Other

  • Field general HR questions and direct more complex questions to the appropriate SME.

  • Provide back up support to HR team.

  • Learn company policies and procedures; stay current on employment laws and regulations.

  • Collaborate with HR team on other projects and assignments during non-peak recruitment periods.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or in a related field and 3 years of work experience within HR discipline or combination of education and experience to effectively execute responsibilities.

  • Ability to challenge processes when needed, while also effectively handling expectations of business partners and candidates alike.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required.

  • Current or prior general HR experience.

  • Good presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

  • Willing and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with minimal guidance.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 5% based on the needs of the team and the business.
