Job Description



Develop new and expand on existing client relationships within the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) marketplace. Manage existing book of business to ensure company executes contractual obligations relative to service, pricing and labor obligations. Secure new contracts and extensions while driving incremental revenue growth for Clean Earth. Works closely with HHW operational team and the Director of Sales.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Develop and target regional HHW accounts in conjunction with the Director of Sales to achieve contract, revenue growth, account milestone objectives, and activity expectations within an assigned account/geography.
  • Sell in a highly consultative manner, including the benefits of working with Clean Earth brand over other traditional waste services companies and direct competition. Manage RFP response process in partnership with proposal team and create presentations and training programs for key customers as needed.
  • Coordinate the development of sales objectives, strategies, customized programs to meet customer specific scope of work, and ensures their execution. Provide management with information used to evaluate regional & national opportunities.
  • Promote customer brand loyalty by participating in or joining regional/national professional organizations that serve the HHW marketplace and/or consumers (including quarterly regional HHWIE meetings, annual NAHMMA Conference, etc.).
  • Develop account specific strategies and plans - and execute against those plans - to win new business and renew current contracts. Optimizes labor needs to meet customer SOW and demand to provide exceptional customer service and contract execution, driving value proposition for the Clean Earth brand in a highly competitive marketplace.
  • Seek new business to increase sales and HHW customer base by prospecting new contracts with municipalities in the PNW market to meet/exceed annual growth quota. Makes weekly calls and visits to current customers and prospects, identifying RFP leads and opportunities via a variety of internet websites, networking, key vendors and peers within local and national organizations. 
  • Monitor and communicate sales performance against goals through approved performance metrics.
  • Perform monthly/quarterly business reviews with customers as appropriate or as their contract requires.
  • Maintain accurate data on customer accounts in Salesforce including but not limited to Contract Objects for active accounts, Opportunties for new business and/or renewals, customer contract information, customer calls and appointments.
  • Partner with operations team to produce and manage timely delivery of annual Form 303 reports, operations plans/timelines, certificates/licensings, facility audit packages and other materials as required in customer’s contract.
  • Create quotes for new business opportunities or to add additional waste streams to current contract pricing for customers as needed.

Qualifications



Basic Required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sciences. Marketing, or Management
  • Five or more years of demonstrated success in selling outsourced hazardous waste services
  • Experience in handling multiple accounts
  • Exposure of contract renewals, managing the process Household Hazardous Waste, contracts administration and negotiation

Preferred

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and DEA regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage $10M+ book of business
  • Experience with government accounts a plus
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) a plus
  • Possess established relationships or demonstrates the ability to rapidly establish relationships within the C-level, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations and Marketing functions within the retail industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
