Registered Nurse

We provide opportunities for nurses that are beyond the four walls of an institutional setting, as you work within residential and community settings, focusing on recovery-based care for people diagnosed mental illness or dual diagnosis .

Open Sky RNs are the cornerstone of our treatment teams and Open Sky leans heavily on the Nurses in residential programs to provide guidance, medical oversight and unique, individualized consultation to employees who support some of the most vulnerable members of the Commonwealth. This is a 40-hour position which will be assigned to residential programs in Worcester, Douglas, and Northborough.

Other Key Responsibilities:

• Provide training and consultation to programs regarding medical issues, procedures and techniques, and health and wellness practices.
• Assess and provide individualized education related to person’s health and disease processes; reinforce wellness and preventative health measures.
• Review clinical records on a regular basis to ensure adequate services and supports are provided, including any applicable medical interventions, tests, or preventative care as necessary.
• Provide oversight to the Medication Administration Program and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

• Registered Nurse licensed in Massachusetts.
• Experience with adults/youth with mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred.
• Excellent assessment, documentation, and verbal communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
