Registered Nurse Nurse

This position is located at US MEDDAC, Deputy Commander for Nursing, Preventive Medicine Service, Army Public Health Nursing, Fort Drum, NY.

The Guthrie Army Health Center, is located at Fort Drum, New York, near the city of Watertown. Watertown is located in the scenic 1,000 lakes region of upstate New York. Home to more than 110,000 residents, the city serves as the gateway to Lake Ontario. Boating, fishing, rafting, hiking, camping, picturesque scenery and quaint rural atmosphere abounds. Lake Ontario, the St Lawrence River, the Black River provide some of the best fishing, boating and sailing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, scuba diving and whitewater rafting in the world. Winter brings unparalleled snowmobiling, skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, skating, and hunting. Museums and historic points of interest include the War of 1812 Battlefield in Sackets Harbor, Boldt Castle, Millionaire's Row, the Antique Boat Museum, the Clayton Opera House, and the Jefferson County Historical Society.

As a Nurse (Administrative/Community-Occupational Health), you will:

• Design and implement interventions for health promotion which may include group counseling about identified lifestyle health risks and their control.
• Evaluate interventions and revise if necessary. Support and participate in health promotion activities in the community.
• Consult with health and human resource agencies within the Fort Drum community to assist with community assessment, needs identification and other services.
• Provide skilled nursing management and instruction.
• Evaluate aggregate statistical data.

US Citizenship required

Must have and maintain a RN license.

Must have at least one year of experience after you have been licensed.

Must have an annual influenza vaccination.

Must have a child background check.

This position has a mandatory drug requirement.
