Job Summary:
The State Procurement Office (SPO) is seeking a seasoned and visionary Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to lead the Department of Economic Security (DES) procurement division. This pivotal role is responsible for managing all procurement activities, including purchasing and solicitations, to promote the safety, well-being, and self-sufficiency of Arizonans. The CPO will oversee senior managers and experienced procurement professionals, drive organizational capacity building, and engage in strategic planning. Serving as the procurement subject matter expert, the CPO will advise the department's executive leadership, aligning procurement decisions with strategic objectives.
