WORKING TITLE: Outreach Coordinator, CPE

UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Outreach Program Coordinator

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This position is within the in the Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Training and reports to the Continuing Professional Education Program Manager. Provides general administrative support, manages and facilitates outreach training and development programs, including communication with instructors. Strengthens partnerships, ensures adherence to policy, and assists with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences. Assists with tracking and managing the outreach program budget.

Supports program manager and other team members organizing and coordinating events, programs, conferences, and trainings as directed.

Educational programming focused on the areas of healthcare and human services, social services, nonprofits, community services and other areas.

Significant importance on strong customer service and responsiveness. Supports functions of the Wisconsin Caregiver Academy, Continuing Professional Education, and the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI), and collaborates with Program Specialists to support outreach efforts and follow-up communication.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships to promote the outreach program.
  • Manage and facilitate outreach program content and materials.
  • Assist with marketing, promotional materials, website updates, site venues, media and other resources in support of an outreach program.
  • Assist with monitoring of outreach budget.
  • Supports all aspects of program functions including preparation and post work.
  • Identifies opportunities for program improvement or outreach program development.

QUALIFICATIONS:



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong written communication and administrative skills with a high level of detail.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
  • High level of computer proficiency and ability to use database, spreadsheet, web conference, presentation, and word processing software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and independently in a high-volume work setting.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to complete projects.
  • Experience in programming, planning and event management.
  • One (1) year of professional experience.
  • A valid Wisconsin driver's license and a working vehicle to travel and ability to obtain driver authorization through the University.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in working with adult learners.
  • Experience in higher education or training and development.

SPECIAL NOTES:



Occasional night and/or weekend work. Travel is required for meetings, trainings, conferences and between campuses.

Continuing Education & Community Engagement supports the entire 16-county region. Team member may have flexibility to work from the Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Marinette, or Green Bay campus as needed.

Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. This position may have the option to work on-campus or a hybrid schedule, subject to approved telecommuting request. A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). SALARY INFORMATION

Minimum salary of $39,500

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Our benefits package also includes dental, vision, several life insurance options, AD&D and Accident insurance and Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts. We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The UW System also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.

In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually. Employees earn 13-27 days of vacation each year, depending on years of service and employment type.
