The Office of Multifamily Housing preserves & develops affordable multifamily housing to meet the needs of low- to moderate-income Ohioans. The Office helps finance the construction &/or preservation of rental units through optimizing the use of OHFA funds by using competitive review processes & rigorous, fair underwriting standards. The Office manages relationships with the development community & stakeholders. The Office participates in advisory workgroups comprised of other state agencies such as the Housing & Homelessness Collaborative.

What You'll Do:

The Office of Multifamily Housing is looking for a dedicated individual to fill the Multifamily Lending Program Manager position who will...

  • Underwrite loans for multifamily LIHTC Properties
  • Coordinate with OHFA Legal and Asset Management teams to close and manage Multifamily Lending Program loans
  • Manage relationships with internal and external Multifamily Lending Program stakeholders
  • Develops reports, guidelines, policies, and procedures for the Multifamily Lending Program
  • Present Multifamily Loan transactions to OHFA's board for approval

HYBRID Work - This position is eligible to participate in OHFA's teleworking policy. Currently, employees must report to the office two (2) days a week & may work from an alternative work location three (3) days per week. OHFA's offices are located at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231.

Qualifications

Applicants should demonstrate on their application how they meet the preferred qualifications to receive further consideration (e.g., interview). Those qualifications are:

  • Three years of experience underwriting commercial real estate loans; AND
  • Experience with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program; AND
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, City & Regional Planning, Public Administration or other related field.
