Lincoln Electric is seeking a Network Administration, Specialist II our Euclid and Mentor, OH campus's. The Network Administration is responsible for providing solutions that improve processes or solve complex technical issues. Strong skills are required in understanding, troubleshooting, and implementing modern technologies across the Lincoln Electric enterprise.

** This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office and ability to work from home 2 days **

 

What You Will Do:

  • The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and possesses initiative to learn about modern technologies and continuously improve the network environment.
  • Operate, maintain, and support a secure network infrastructure, utilizing industry best practices and relevant technology.
  • Actively contribute to research, design, and implementation of network technology (wireless, route/switch, datacenter, security, etc.) infrastructure.
  • Be responsible for driving the architectural strategy by designing, installing, securing, and testing shop floor network equipment.
  • Drive OT/IOT strategy and network security best practices on the Mentor and Euclid shop floor environments.
  • Make recommendations on placement and capabilities of network components on shop floor lines and plant IDF’s.
  • Assist to maintain Cisco CyberVision, Cisco DNA, and Wireless infrastructure as shop floor needs adapt to meet business requirements.
  • Provide documentation and standard work procedures for the engineering, IT support, IT Security and Network teams.
  • Monitor and provide escalation point for network infrastructure components within the Euclid and Mentor support teams.
  • Drive automation projects to decrease management time and increase operating efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by leveraging data, end user feedback, and teamwork.

 

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 7 – 10+ years of experience in supporting and designing Enterprise network environments.
  • Proven experience in supporting Cisco networking components.
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls or Prisma cloud service is a plus
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, customer centric, and the ability to work without supervision.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unexpected demands. Contributes willingly during emergencies and other necessary situations during and/or after regular work hours. This position requires night and weekend work along with on-call.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Some travel is expected for this role and will not exceed 25% on average.
