Job Description - Risk Analyst

What Will Your Job Look Like?

The Risk Analyst supports the Risk Management and Legal teams regarding all aspects of corporate insurance programs. This role focuses on operational effectiveness in support of claims management strategies and identification of risks throughout the organization. Typical daily duties can include reviewing incident and accident reports, insurance claim reporting and monitoring, vehicle tracking and audits, creating and analyzing reports, identifying loss exposure and risk control priorities, and processing email correspondence and information requests from internal teams and external business partners.

This position is a hybrid role of work from home and in office at our Town & Country, MO location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze incident and accident reports and investigation notes to determine whether an insurance claim needs to be opened, and under which insurance policy
  • Submit various types of claims to insurance carriers or third-party administrators
  • Develop and coordinate data deliverables (visuals, reports, dashboards, etc.)
  • Prepare custom risk presentations for company leaders
  • Create ad hoc reports related to auto liability and workers’ compensation claims
  • Conduct research and provide analytical support to members of the Legal department
  • Ensure accurate and timely claim reporting
  • Act as a liaison between the company and external business partners, including insurance brokers, adjusters, and third-party administrators
  • Compile data for insurance carrier audits and program reviews
  • Receive vehicle add and delete requests from local teams and notify broker to update insurance
  • Provide monthly vehicle reports to insurance carrier and broker, as required
  • Audit locations for vehicle insurance compliance and remediate any discrepancies
  • Manage auto ID card, certificate of insurance, and other insurance-related information requests
  • Gather and organize information for annual insurance policy renewals
  • Review insurance applications and forms for completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain electronic files related to insurance and claims for the Risk Management and Legal teams
  • Participation in projects with cross-functional teams throughout the organization
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings as needed
  • Perform special projects as assigned

What You’ll need:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an operational, risk, or administrative role

Even better if you have...

  • College Degree (or equivalent combination of education experience) in a relevant field preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the insurance industry preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance risk management
  • Highly organized and ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Detail oriented and ethical
  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel

Salary Min: 47,476

Salary Max: 55,000
