Responsible for ensuring SBDC meets specific performance goals relative to individual service offerings as determined by Director. Provides consulting services to startup and existing businesses on strategies, business plans, cash flow projections, and other related matters as well as other Center programs. Investigates, prepares and presents research to client on relevant topics. Responsible for preparing and coordinating program-specific training topics. Position Number: S87040 This position is a Grade: 9-40 with an approximate salary range of $54,390-$66,190 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications

1. Consulting

•Consults with regional business owners (primarily in Upper Bucks and Northern Montgomery counties) on issues via one-on-one meetings, telephone, group meetings, or email
•Consults with individuals wanting to start or expand companies (primarily in Upper Bucks and Northern Montgomery counties). Determines needs of clients
•Provides current, up to date information on starting a business

2. Research

•Prepares reports and delivers to clients.
•Conducts research through SBDC, University, federal, state and local sources for information on industries, competitors, marketing information for clients
•Makes recommendations to clients based on research

3. Training

•Prepares and coordinates trainings and events tied to program-specific responsibilities, leading trainings where appropriate
•Meets all metric requirements (deliverables) as determined by Center Director.
•Coordinates and presents training events, seminars and workshops for clients at locations within the Lehigh University SBDC territory

4. Administrative

•Enters all client information in to SBDC database as per Center requirements.
•Prepares reports for Center Director as requested.
•Attends client companies Grand Openings as available.

5. Marketing and Outreach

•Develops and evaluates Center outreach strategy in conjunction with Center Director.
•Coordinates outreach efforts amongst Center staff
•Conducts outreach events and/or speaks at local organizations. •Bachelor's Degree in Business; Master's Degree preferred

•Five to eight years of experience in small business consulting
