Job Description - System test coordinator

Job Summary:

This position is part of the Integration team on the Administration Transformation Program (ATP), which is in the process of implementing Workday - replacing PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM for all campuses of the Universities of Wisconsin. Across the Universities of Wisconsin, there are around 800 systems referred to as "ancillary systems" that will continue to live on and need to interact with Workday data in the future. As the test coordinator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating testing procedures and protocols for the ATP Integration team. You will coordinate the overall efforts of integration testing for ancillary systems impacted by the changes due to the implementation of Workday. Additionally, you will report on the progress and the quality of the testing efforts.


As the System Integration Test Coordinator, you will work closely with the ATP Test Lead, who has responsibility for the overall ATP testing effort. Additionally, you will collaborate with campus project teams who are responsible for ancillary system readiness for the transition to Workday and development teams contributing to the Integration Hub, which serves as the primary source of Workday data for ancillary systems.


Responsibilities:

Provides technical and analytical guidance for information technology (IT) projects. Manages vendor workflow and deliverables for multi-unit projects and facilitates project status communication to clients to support IT developments necessary for mission related functions.
  • 45% Serves as a main point of contact for clients in the development and implementation of moderately complex projects
  • 25% Provides moderately advanced technical and analytical guidance to project teams. Identifies and estimates tasks and applies established project management, process improvement, and budget and cost analysis methodologies to identify obstacles and drive project completion
  • 20% Schedules and facilitates communication for the integration of vendor workflow and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables for projects
  • 10% Drafts and delivers project status communications and reports

Qualifications:

Required

  • Experience coordinating IT application testing efforts (5+ years desired)
  • Experience developing and implementing test plans (5+ years desired)
  • Experience with project and issue tracking solutions, such as Jira or Smartsheet (3+ years desired)
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to drive and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met across multiple work streams concurrently
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with peers, customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate in a remote work environment
Preferred

  • Experience with ERP testing or implementation
  • Experience working with stakeholders across a large and geographically distributed organization

Work Type:

Full Time: 100%


It is anticipated this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 19 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Salary:

Minimum $84,800 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications
Well qualified applicants can expect to earn between $95,000 - $120,000, with final salary based on experience and qualifications.

Additional Information:

The Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) is hiring for multiple vacancies across transformation areas (Finance, Human Resources, Research Administration, and Information Technology). Anticipated duration of this position is 18 - 20 months. End date is dependent upon program completion.


This position can either be 100% onsite, hybrid, or 100% remote, dependent upon agreement between the supervisor and the selected candidate.
