Job Description - Rental Logistics Coordinator

Location: Indianapolis, IN Pay Range: $55,000 to $70,000 Overview Come grow with us by joining our team as a Rental Logistics Coordinator! In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the company's vehicle fleet. This role involves coordinating the movement, utilization, and readiness of the fleet to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding environment. Responsibilities Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
  • Logistics Coordination:* Plan and optimize routes for efficient delivery and transportation.
  • Coordinate with transportation partners and logistics personnel to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Manage logistics schedules and dispatch deliveries accordingly.
  • Inventory and Asset Management:* Maintain accurate records of vehicle location, mileage, and maintenance activities while vehicles are not with clients.
  • Track and manage vehicle inventory, including acquisition, disposal, and replacement of vehicles.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:* Analyze fleet reconditioning data and generate reports on key metrics such as repair costs, maintenance costs, and vehicle utilization.
  • Identify trends and provide recommendations for improving fleet efficiency and reducing operational costs.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:* Liaise with service providers, transporters, and vendors for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, account managers, maintenance staff, and management.
  • Compliance and Documentation:* Ensure all fleet operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including vehicle registrations, insurance, and inspection reports to ensure vehicles are delivered ready for use.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
  • Proven history of achieving KPI targets and managing client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
