Job Title:Research Administration Management AssociateDepartment:Medicine | Radiation OncologyResearch Administration Management Associate will work on day-to-day management of research project providing quantitative and qualitative analysis of data and information within the Comprehensive Cancer Center and the James Cancer Hospital; primary responsibilities include day-to-day supervision and coordinate research activities working with the PI, Co-investigators, and staff, and coordinate sampling collection, cataloging and distribution, data curation, writing reports, ordering supplies, and inventory management for the program as well as collecting and entering data on case report forms and electronic-based data capture systems; prepares accurate and timely completion of month-end research reports for project PIs or other sponsors; uses qualitative and quantitative improvement methods to analyze and summarize research data; assists in the application of concepts from summarized data to the development of new research protocols with regards to sample data capture; manages large and small databases both internal and external to OSU; creates advanced and complex queries to generate specialized data; writes reports of research results; manages purchasing and sponsored project funds; prepares financial reports to PI/Co-PIs; assists with budget and financial aspects of clinical trials and laboratory; completes additional research data tasks as requested by PI/Co-PIs; assists with clinical annotation/chart review; provides assistance in scheduling for PI/Co-PIs; maintains inventory of laboratory and clinical staff; reports to the PI.
Education / Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate biological/health science or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 1-2 years relevant experience with billing and coding preferred; experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis preferred; prior research database management desired; computer literacy with basic database tools and methods required; Requires successful completion of a background check.
