Job Description - Research Scientist

Research Scientist University of Notre Dame The University of Notre Dame ( ND.jobs ) is accepting applications for a Research Scientist . Applications will be accepted until 08/21/2024.

The CoMMaND (Computational Mechanics of Morphology at Notre Dame) Lab Research
Scientist will focus on apply engineering and computational approaches to understand the role of mechanics in complex health-related issues. The position will be supported through funded projects and will be responsible for making progress on the proposed work via the following responsibilities:

  • Designing and conducting simulations and performing data analysis
  • Supervising and mentoring students and collaboration with other lab members to push forward project progress
  • Writing journal papers and preparing conference presentations


Please note that this is a 2-year limited-term position with possible renewal dependent upon funding.





Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Bioengineering
  • 3 - 4 years experience
  • Familiarity with user subroutines in Abaques, background in computational biomechanics, good communication skills
