CCOR provides independent oversight of the firm’s compliance, conduct, and operational risks and maintains a strong control environment. The work covers areas such as review and challenge of CCOR risk assessments, training, understanding regulatory changes, creation of risk monitoring and testing of control effectiveness. As an Operational Risk Management Senior Associate, you will provide the opportunity to contribute to supporting the CCOR program for Corporate Responsibility, Morgan Health and Control Management. You will manage various reporting for the team and play a key support role in the execution of independent assessments of Compliance and Operational risks. In this role, you will work with members of the CCOR team on various initiatives, partner with the Corporate Responsibility, Morgan Health and Control Management functions, and develop an understanding of, and required skills for, the CCOR coverage role.

Job responsibilities

+ Understand the key processes and controls performed by Corporate Responsibility, Morgan Health and Control Management.

+ Manage various reporting, including analyzing the reporting for trends, outliers and potential areas to provide proactive risk management and credible challenge.

+ Perform independent assessment of Compliance, Conduct and Operational risks through CCOR’s monitoring program (e.g. Off-Cycle Reviews, Monitoring Activities, KPIs / KRIs, Operational Risk Summaries, and Risk Assessments).

+ Assist in researching Policies and Standards to provide guidance to the business on Compliance related inquiries.

+ Calibrate view points and present findings to CCOR team.

+ Collaborate with colleagues in the support and management of various initiatives across the Functions.

+ Assist in coverage and monitoring of Outsourcing activities relevant to the Functions.

+ Assist in coverage of Firmwide Regulation W activities.

+ Formulate and implement strategies for improving efficiencies in processes and technology usage.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in a control function (such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, or Control Management), preferably within the financial services industry

+ Professional maturity and confidence in engaging and expressing a point of view

+ Strategic thinker, with ability to implement

+ Results-oriented with the ability to formulate proposed solutions and coordinate with Senior Management to achieve targeted solutions.

+ Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
