In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships with key clients to drive sales, growth and revenue. As a Sales Manager , you'll shape the sales department, optimize processes and lead their team to surpass sales targets. - Lead by example by directly selling to key clients within the first 90-120 days, gaining insights into our client’s market, products and sales cycle
- Collaborate with leadership to refine sales materials, presentations, systems and processes for maximum efficiency
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand customer base and solidify our market presence
- Hire, manage and mentor the sales team, setting performance targets and providing ongoing training and support
- Utilize HubSpot to streamline sales processes, track metrics and manage customer relationships effectively
Sales Manager Requirements: - 5+ years of direct B2B sales experience, preferably in educational technology or related industries
- 5+ years of sales management experience, demonstrating leadership skills
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM systems preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or related field
- Based in Chicago preferred, but open to full-time remote candidates
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients, attend events and join team gatherings
